Welcome

Arborvore, literally translated, means “tree eater” – an apt name for my handcrafted woodenware for home and table. Eating with tree-made utensils is as old as humanity and is something that still resonates deeply within us all. An Arborvore tool in your hand enhances your cooking, serving, and eating experiences, connecting you to the warmth and beauty that only wooden utensils provide.

Arborvore hand carved wooden spoons are available through the Arborvore Etsy Shop – click through to see all currently available spoons.

Each item is carefully crafted by hand from wood gathered along the edges of fields and in the forests of New Hampshire. My favorite woods to work with include Lilac, Apple, and Cherry, with occasional explorations with other species as they are available. I finish my woodenware with a combination of walnut oil and organically produced beeswax that gives them a soft and supple feel. If you or the person you are purchasing Arborvore woodenware for has walnut or beeswax allergies contact me for a custom order finish that doesn’t include these products.
